Mastering the latest 4 concerts: 11/12 ,18 and 22 april 2016

After months of search we finely found a second Studer A80 to create the Master Tapes we need.
Frans and I were already playing around with some mastering tools, high-end cabels and AC conditioners to
get the vibe out of the recording for maximum results. With some minor tweeking we arived to a point where we want
the sound to be. We opened it all up adding a little ambient.
On april 22 our dear friend Joost Lijbaart helped us which of his songs to choose and some little edit points and endings.  
Harry, Frans And I listen to some final versions and we arrived at a point of no return :)
It is amazing what we still get out of these old baby’s with a new way of thinking!
So next step is to make some samples for give away for the search of (maybe) future distribution partners
at the Munich High End show next week.
Analog Master Tapes

We (Harry van Dalen ,Michael van Polen and Frans de Rond)
are the founders of a new label it’s called “ANALOG MASER TAPES”
We record only in the analog domain ‘Live to Two Track” on a Studer A80 , combining with modern techniques we create the most realistic and confronting sound we can capture, (Atzko Kohashi :It’s like a mirror, I now see myselve playing,It’s scarry) We already did some recordings with a live audience at Rhapsody. The artists are: Atzko Kohashi, Denice Jannah and Sebastiaan Kaptein. On 18 december 2015 we will recored some new sessions with : Joost Lijbaart (drums) Wolfert Brederode (Piano) and on 19 december : Sanne Rambags (vocals) Bram Stadhouders (guitar) Joost Lijbaart (drums) This time we will record this at MCO the Netherlands with a live Audience. There will be releases in 2016 on : Reel to Reel Master Tape, Limeted LP’s and DXD (high resolution files) for more info:

Ervaar een Sound Experience Concert

Wat is Sound-Experience?

Een Sound Experience concert is een luisterervaring
die het ervaren zelf wil belichten in plaats van het opiniërende denken.

Bij deze concerten staat een muzikant centraal en deze gebruikt – het nu – als inspiratie voor meditatieve improvisaties. Op hun beurt geïnspireerd, kleuren de Spirit Connection klankspelers met hun gongs, schalen en andere instrumenten, het muzikale momentum verder in. Soundscape-architect Frans de Rond mengt real-time opgenomen fragmenten als subtiele soundscapes in het geheel.

Studio Showcase Series

Studio Showcase series is een initiatief van Rhapsody en Sound Liaison het doel hierbij is om een brug te slaan tussen musici, opname techniek en de luisteraar. Vaak heeft de luisteraar geen idee hoe een opname tot stand wordt gebracht,  Weet de luisteraar überhaupt waar hij/zei naar luistert?
Als audio adviseur weten wij als geen ander dat iedere luisteraar een eigen vertaling, perceptie beleving en verbeelding heeft van een opname. Om meer duidelijkheid te scheppen dat er hier en daar gespijkerd moet worden aan opnames om het voor de luisteraar aantrekkelijk op tape/LP/CD/File te verkrijgen, hebben wij besloten de luisteraar eens nau bij een opname te betrekken. Dit heeft geresulteerd in de Studio Showcase Series.

Ik heb veel opname materiaal en zal in de loop van tijd fragmenten op deze site plaatsen. Overigens zijn op de site van Sound Liaison de opname te verkrijgen in verschillende audio formaten zoals : PCM / DSD en FLAC.
